I have to say that I'm quite fond of this time of the year - the lovely liminal space between the mania of Christmas preparations and the day itself, then later the partying of New Year's Eve (not that I do so much of that these days).
You know when you have one of those tasks that seem oh-so-simple in theory? I just had to stop what I had planned for this afternoon and moan to you all about a mutiny in the ranks.
I thought I'd finally better finish my catch up on what I got up to last year as I have new posts waiting in the wings eager to get out there!
Today is St Distaff Day - Traditionally the first day back to work for spinners (and spinsters*) after the feast of Epiphany.

I know I've been rather quiet recently but just like that proverbial Swan I've been paddling away like a good-un under the surface. There has been much busy spinning and felt-making going on here at Cati Carlo central - hand-made products like mine require hand-made elements.
One of the best things about the New Year for most crafters is planning new projects for the coming twelve months.
